Composed of some 118 islands covering an expanse of ocean the size of Europe, many poets, painters and writers have sought inspiration in these far away islands. To dreamers and tourists alike, these islands in French Polynesia have been the depiction of what true South Pacific paradise is. Join us to paradise enjoying days and nights filled with beauty, comfort, along with the excitement and thrills of drift diving the Tuamotu islands, where you will see hundreds of pelagic species and explore many of Tahiti's hidden atolls.
Tahiti has long been known for its fabulous drift diving, lavish resorts, and beautiful landscape. Though not all of the dives are drift diving, there's plenty of time to spend unhurried though the underwater gardens of paradise. Youâll encounter incredible marine life; swarms of red snapper, colorful butterfly fish, Achilles tangs, blackbar soldierfish, bullseye fish, and more, swim in and out of your view. Tahiti is known for big animal encounters and our FantaSea group of divers will explore the passes and channel entrances, or "corners" of the Tuamotu Atolls, which include Rangiroa, Kaukara, Fakarava, Toau and Apataki (weather permitting). The channels are brimming with big animal activity. Black-tip sharks, silvertip sharks, hammerhead sharks, eagle rays, dolphin, Napoleon wrasses, schooling barracuda and countless other marine giants crowd the hard coral passes. Your FantaSea dive adventure will be unforgettable.
Fast-paced, drift diving is available for intermediate to advanced divers. A "Pass flying," drifting diving certification course will be taught to all divers at the beginning of the week and is INCLUDED in the charter price.
