Well, I had a GREAT time today with my pool training. Russ Miles was my instructor, from SD&T, and did an EXCELLENT job. I passed all my pool skills and can't wait to hit the water in Cozumel in a week!!!!

The first time going under with the reg was very weird!!!! But each time I went under it got easier and easier to do and I didn't have to think about it as hard as the time before. I had no problems diving without a prosthesis. I was able to do all the skills correctly, and adapted when I needed to.

I think the hardest one was the mask off swim and replace. I sucked some water in my nose, got it in my throat, and started to choke, and paniced a bit. But Russ was right there and I was able to calm down and keep breathing and finish the skill. I'm glad it happened though, cuz now I know I can work through it and as long as I stay calm and focused, all will be well...

I'm already thinking about my advanced OW cert. now....LOL

Can't wait to do some fun dives and hit Wazee too this summer. Looking forward to diving with all of you!!!
