Hello-
I've read some posts on Lake Mine, and I'm wondering if any one would be able to provide specific directions?  From what I'm reading, it looks like it should be about 7-10 miles from Ore-Be-Gone.  Is that correct?  It is off of Giant's Ridge Road?  We're heading up there this weekend, and would love to sneak over there for a dive or three!

Okay, so I think I found pretty good directions  ;D
Has anyone been to the dive access that's closest to the pillar lately?  How are the conditions of the road? 

I was up at that access on Sunday.  The road to the pillar access is not bad. 

Is the closest access to the pillar near the public access?

No, the closest access to the pillar would be the little road that heads off to the right of the public boat access.  Here is a link to a map.  Also for more information check some of the past Lake Mine threads.
