Just got back from some relaxing diving in Mason City, Iowa. The Owatonna Dive Club tested out a few people and I met up and dove around. The lake is relativly small. Vis is decent about 15 to 20 feet in the shallower ends of lake. It had a sunken sail boat, platform, and a couple old cars. Many fish were seen. Northerns, bass, crappie and sunnys. Deepest part of the lake was 35 feet deep and the coldest the water got was 53 degrees. Nice little pond, beach access, no fee to get in!
