I don’t know if you know about this, but the Minnesota DNR has some interesting maps online.  These are depth contour maps of a lot of our favorite diving spots.

Here is St. James Pit.



This one includes a number of the pits up near Crosby (which of course explains how it is so easy to go around in circles in some of those bodies of water).



Here is Lake Mine.



And if the visibility ever comes back, here is Ore-Be-Gone (once again, explains how one can get a bit lost). 



And there are a lot more.  Including a bunch of popular shallow natural metro-area lakes if that is your thing (i.e. Little Long, Square, Courthouse, Lavon, Christmas, etc.).  You can access them through this website



Though I couldn’t find it through that search engine, I do have this link saved to my computer which includes Louise Pit and Mangan Pit up near Crosby.
