Well I am posting this here in off topic discussions as it is not technically a dive report, but it has to do with water. I just got back from Wisconsin Dells. I didnt get any "diving" in, so to speak, but I did find some treasure... We went to this indoor water park called Mount Olympus. I used my kids swim goggles and looked on the bottom of the "lazy river" and I found: Two different diamond earings (one square cut and one rectangle cut. Probably fake diamonds given the poor quality silver) and two loose diamonds (classic cut and about a 75% chance of being fake diamonds) and a silver cross from a necklace and a silver stud earing. The loose diamonds were hard to see in the clear water and the current made them slip away when you tried to pick them up. I would put my thumb and finger down stream and let the current push them to me. There are small eddy's on the corners that trapped some of the loot. It kept me busy for a while while my daughter was going down the water slides.

We also took the "Army duck" truck/boat tour. It went through Lake Delton and the Wisconsin River. Last summer Lake Delton drained completely into the Wisconsin River when an earthen dam broke. It was recently fixed and now it is re-filled. I asked the Duck driver if they found anything cool on the lake bottom when it drained. He said they found 4 guns and two of them were tied to murders. They also found 6 engagement rings near the swimming beaches.

So that is my semi-dive report.
I can't wait to get out to do some searching for lures.. it is easy to spend hours and hours with the anticipation of finding something.  Good for you, sounds like you were able to turn a not so interesting spot into a great treasure hunt.  Fun.
