I hope to at least be able to dive White Bear. Just thought I would let everyone know...
Al, how is WhiteBear Lake for diving? I heard unless you have a boat you really can't dive it because the water doesn't get deep enough until quite away out. Of course that's not a factor for Ice Diving but I was just curious.
I've only dove White Bear once (last month) and the vis was pretty good 10-15 ft. I drove my car about 1000 yrds out from the East side (Mahtomedi beach) and the depth was only 25ft. It would be a long swim, but one of our divers found a dive belt w/weights so someone dives out there!
Hmm...sounds like a good lake for pontoon boat diving, though I bet that lake has an awful lot of boat traffic on it in the summer time.
