I'm starting to use the cam band for staging larger tanks but I'm not sure about the top snap.

I see a normal stag rig and a choker solves some of my problem with the tanks hanging too low in the front. It hang too low and I ether have to move the d-ring too high for comfort, make the hose longer so it doesn't tug and/or bungee it like sidemount.

I don't think I need the handle from a normal rig so without that strap I don't know how to add the top snap. do you just use the choker? I don't want to add the old style ring. I want something I can add to a tank in the field.

I tried to look on youtube but didn't see what I was looking for. If you know of one ...

Thanks.

My solution. Feel free to add comments.

I girth hitch a snap at the neck and add a common snap to the cam band. The one dive I had it worked better then the normal stage rig I use for ST72's so I'll be changing them out as well as the 30's to this method. I lose the handle but gain better control of the neck of the tank. That never got the tank so close that it didn't hang, this is as short as it will go and if I want shorter I can use a bungee loop to hold the snap even closer but I think clipping will be too difficult and the test dive was flawless so I'll fly things this way all summer and adjust before ice. Pics should be obvious but I'll detail if it's not on request.

I like it.  I may steal some of those ideas.

Where did you get the manly pink rubber band?
Don't knock it, at least he uses his rubbers!  >Big Grin

LOL....nice one DQ!
Ghost Ship show in Milwaukee. I forget the shop but it was a $1. Your better off with inner tube, the bands do not last long.

DQ, it's not pink! It's mulberry wine, it brings out my eyes.
Oh boy, I am getting out of this thread.  LOL  ;D
