From KARE11:

LAKE MINNETONKA, Minn. -- Zebra mussels were seen along Big Island, Spirit Island and Gibson Bay in Lake Minnetonka.

The Department of Natural Resources will be out Tuesday to see how many locations they can pinpoint.

Some experts feel zebra mussels disrupt the food chain.

Zebra mussel offspring are free-floating, so it takes very little effort for them to be transported either by current or in boats that haven't been cleaned properly.

thanks for telling us again.
Be interesting to see how much they can clear up the water, increase perch, small mouth bass (among others) populations.

Joe, this is a new update just put out tonight.  Give him a break!
now is the time to start a zebra mussel cleaning shop on that lake.

there is so much muck bottom on that lake i cant imagine its going to get very bad where pple dive, unless they cover the wrecks.
