My first dive experience on Superior.  I was tipped the temperature on the South Shore were uncharacteristically warm so I went prepared for dry or wet.

Extremely calm weekend - dive boat had a slack anchor chain for most of the dives.  Water temperature was 70 degrees at the surface.  Thermocline at 50 feet with 68 degree temp below.  We dove the Pretoria on Saturday 8/7 with 40 feet of visibility.  It was warm enough, I switched from Dry suit to 7mm wet for the rest of the dives.

Dove the Lucerne on Sunday after thunderstorms all night long.  The morning sea state was mirror calm with patchy fog.  Visibility over Lucerne was 20 feet at best but still a fascinating wreck to dive.

Dove the old sawmill for 68 minutes on Sunday.  Ran out of warmth and interest before air.

All and all, a fantastic weekend. ;D
