I would like to know if any divers have experience with this regulator. It is available new for $260 which is way below MSRP. There seem to be mixed reviews online but it does seem that this model was discontinued.

Are you looking at buying this online? One thing to consider is that you will need to get the regulator serviced somewhere locally on an annual basis. You might want to check out the dive store listing and see if one of them is a Mares dealer. You could ask the dive shop if they can service this particular model. If you are going to use the regulator locally just make sure it has very good cold water performance.
