I joined up with a group of 4 other divers from Air Down There Scuba to dive from a charter boat operated by Jay Hanson. We met up with Jay at the marina in Knife River on Lake Superior. Despite the rain in the Twin Cities on Friday morning, we were blessed by partial sunshine and favorable sea conditions throughout the day. We dove on two shipwrecks in the afternoon: the Niagra () and the Samuel P. Ely  ().

We encountered visibility around 20ft on the Niagra and water temps of 39F at 30-90ft. The visibility was a little less on the Ely, perhaps around 15ft with water temps of 42F.
