ha im thinking just for kicks to start a thread off all the boats that nearly run me or mine over. im thinking with a focusable camera you can set the focus manually in ft. i would dial in the legal distance, and all the boats that come too close and are out of focus would be proven too close. take two pictures one using objective to determine distance, and one for fun
2012 fall. look close . yes thats a dog
here come a fast one
WTF. we got people in the water.this is too much
hmmm
this one clearly is too close. (not my boat). i was in the right spot at right time to get this pictutre. tonka 2012
here this is just what it looks like from a distance. on a clam day  of diving. tonka 2012(fall)
here a guy trolls thru the middle of two boats with multiple flags flying. distance is under 100ft between the two boats..both anchored. also a violation!
I could go on all day. my record largest boat i think was around 45ft long than ran over on top . closest call was the popped bouy that i lost when a jet ski used it for a target practice run.no injuries.but i would mention. most of the close calls are in the peak of boating season were the lake gets crazy even for boaters. that and a few bottleneck spots were i have noticed that boaters dont care whats going on. in particular Brackets point is a bad spot. a lot of larger fast boats cut close to this point and dont care if people are fishing let alone swimming or diving. its an interesting dive spot, but beware. of non-stop crazy boaters. what i can sugest to divers on this lake is drop down on the edge of the shallows and plan to come back up from depth by following the contours up into the shallows. most of the boats wont get close enough to shallows to endanger you.
Woops. here is the dog pic. most important.
