Very neat to have an AL tank that is not 4+ lbs positive when down to 500psi, but what's the difference from just adding, say, a 4lb tank wt to a regular AL tank?
The Luxfer site lists the following wts for a reg tank and a NB tank:
Empty weight (actual) Empty buoyancy
S080 31.4 4.4
S80N 35.4 0.05

The NB tank is 4lbs heavier to begin with. Wt dist is an advantage perhaps, but again - why nit a tank wt?
After spending some time thinking about this - that's a good question!

Yeah, I suppose you could use a tank weight though it's a bit less convenient and you would have to experiment with finding the right place to mount the weight to get your trim right. Also, the neutrally buoyant AL80's are 3300 psi tanks instead of 3000psi. You might want DIN first stage regs. for that. :-\
I have a luxfer AL80 and have a Nuetral Bouyancy AL80 on the way. I'll have to try and strap some weight on the standard 80 to see if i can tell the diff.
