Motorcyclist killed by innertube

A Grand Rapids motorcyclist died Sunday night after an innertube flew off a pontoon boat on a trailer and hit him as he rode on Hwy. 169 near Grand Rapids.
Larry A. Drewes, 45, died at Grand Itasca Hospital.
A vehicle pulling a pontoon boat on a trailer was heading south and Drewes was riding north at 8:21 p.m. when he was hit by the innertube, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The patrol identified the driver of the vehicle pulling the boat as Dean M. Doree, 39, of Grand Rapids.
