Blue Parrot Study Club and Tall Pine Scuba invite you to the annual retreat for 2004!

We have reserved air and lodging at Little Cayman Beach Resort for January 24-31. The pool view rooms are spacious, air conditioned, featuring a balcony or patio and color TV. Unlike the last few trips, this time each couple has their own room. The all-inclusive (3 meals a day) resort has a freshwater pool, Jacuzzi, tennis courts, kayaks, bicycles, fitness center, health and beauty spa, and game room. There is bone fishing, snorkeling, and of course wonderful scuba diving.

Little Cayman is located 80 miles from Grand Cayman, about 11 miles long, it is a nature lover’s paradise. One can find pristine lagoons, mangrove forests, orchid strewn swamps, and salt ponds. The island is home to iguanas, egrets, the endangered West Indian whistling duck, and the largest colony of red-footed boobies (birds) in the Caribbean. The island is relaxing, quiet, and even romantic!

Rated for its “Best Wall Diving, Fish life, Visibility, Healthiest Marine Environment, we are set for 2 morning dives, and 1 afternoon dive. There are over 50 unique dive sites to pick from, including the famous Bloody Bay Wall.

Big game fishing for tuna, wahoo, marlin, and barracuda is available, as well as bone fishing right from the beach. Our resort is happy to pack a picnic lunch for those wanting something different. Owen Island is within swimming or snorkeling distance but a boat will take people over. Prince Charles and a “friend” dropped anchor there recently!

We have reserved seats on Northwest Airlines to Grand Cayman that meets the Island Air time schedule to get us to Little Cayman all in one day. The Island Air only takes 24 passengers so it was important to reserve the spots. The cost for non-divers is $1880. The cost for the diver package is $2364. If you want to dive, it would be better to take the diver package as opposed to trying to sign up when you get there. If the resort is full, the dive shop may only have room for the package divers. The packages include 3 meals a day, air from Minneapolis to Little Cayman, lodging, and free use of most of the resort services. We worked with Ultimate Dive Travel to come up with this great price! In order to keep costs down, we ask you to make all payments to Ultimate Dive Travel and send them to us so that we can send deposits together and final payments together. We do the bookkeeping and pass on the savings!

Please call Lisa or Larry Squillace (218-749-5296 home or 218-749-4795 office) or email lsquillace4@mchsi.com for any additional information.

OR to reserve your spot on this great trip….send your non-refundable deposit of $300 per person (made out to Ultimate Dive Travel) to Larry Squillace, PO Box 1264, Virginia, MN 55792. Credit cards are accepted but there will be an additional 3% charge.
