How I did on last years goals:
1) dive, at least, once every month in 2003
I missed 3 months due to illness
2) take AOW cert
took and passed AOW cert
3) dive sea caves and a couple of wrecks in the Apostle Islands
didnt do these
but i learned i needed cave cert
and i dove Madeira and Hesper in Lake Superior
4) take drysuit cert
took and passed drysuit cert
5) try freediving (yes, Fred, a chance at a convert!)
wussed out
Although I didnt complete 3 out of 5 I did manage some
other things:
* dpv cert (you MUST try one of these babies)
* wreck cert (i love reels. NOT)
* medic/first aid cert
* rescue cert (man, its hard work)
* 60 dives
* Wazee, Crosby pits, Lake Superior wreck dives
* incredible moonlight dives
* switched to bp/wing set up
* met lots of great buddies!
yeeha!

Since Chrisw started this I have to tag along!!!
Reviewing my 2003 goals:
1) Get a drysuit...(About time for one)
Got that done...A used one but it works just fine and I don't need any help zipping it up either (A 905 jab...Can't resist!
)
2) Rescue Diver and start DiveMaster
Did that too! Rescue was the most rewarding class to date and I loved it alot! But I think I will enjoy DiveMaster much more (at least so far I have)
3) Dive at least 2-3 times a week
Over 100 logged dives from Feb thru November.
4) Meet new *AND* old divers from the list.
Thanks to all my "buddies" this year and hope to keep diving with you next year!
5) Be the bestest and safest I can be , every dive !!!
Now this one might be a bit more difficult because of my
Superior rock climbing adventures and other too numerous idiotic things I did this year...
But all in all , 4 out of 5 isn't all that bad!!!
Jean ;D
P.S. And of course , my special thanks to Richard , Darin and the rest of the insane asylum for making my Wednesday night just so darn interesting this summer! Lets do it again next year! ;D
1. See a Northern Pike or Musky
Did this, granted at the Mall of America
2. Feed the fish
Same as above
3. Improve on my skills (obviously)
Mmmm, doubt I accomplished much here
4. Dive more
Dove less
5. Meet more people from the site
Did this
*Dive at least one day a week
Didn't quite make that one. I took a few weeks off.
*Get in a diving/camping weekend trip once a month
Got this one, did more than one a month a couple times I think.
*Dive Lake Superior a couple times
I got to Lake Superior twice this year on a couple nice camping trips and got in about 10 dives.
*Gain more experience diving my drysuit
Dove dry the whole season. No going back to the wetsuit now...dry is the way.
*Break the 100 dives mark
Broke 100 dives in July.
*Don't spend anymore money on gear this year (fills only)
Failed miserably on this one. I better follow through on this one this year. :
Yea Jean, I guess that is an advantage to having your suit over a 905.
By the way, where is that suit of your right now anyway?
Oh, that's right, it's in our shop getting repaired.
(Sorry dude)

Torn wrist seal and I am adding some pockets! Nothing serious , just a good time to get the repairs done in the off-season...

Yeah, I'm sending my drysuit up to pretty soon to get my pockets sewn on since my glue job didn't hold up worth squat.
