Diving off the Coast of New Jersey - lwright - 08-09-2002

I'm going to a family reunion in Philadephia over the Labor Day Weekend and I would like to go to the Jersey coast and do some diving. I have been checking out charters on the web and there seem to be a few that specialize in wreck dives. Apparently there are a lot of wrecks off the Jersey coast. Has anyone have a chance to dive the Jersey coast? If so, I would love to hear about it.

<br>You may want to post your questions to scubaboard.com. I know there are quite a few east coast divers on that forum. They could give you some great tips.

I got back from Philly yesterday and unfortunately due to bad weather by dive charter got cancelled off the coast of Belmar,NJ. Sad Plan B was for me to drive to Guppy Gulch which is located on the Maryland and PA border, but no one was diving by the time I got there. Guppy Gulch is featured this month in Dive Training Magazine. It looked like a cool place to dive. I recommend trying it out if anyone is in the area.
