All right, I admit it, I'm at work and I'm pretty bored. So I thought I would ask, what is your favorite piece of gear that you have, and what gear purchase do you wish you would not have purchased. For me, my favorite is my slate, followed by reg & puter. My complete waste was snorkell, and console compass (had to get a wrist one).

My favorite is probably my apeks regulators. My least favorite is the snorkel and that mesh thing you put on tanks.

Worst piece of gear bought? that's a tough one...probably the scubapro tri-pane mask - to big a volume (but it's nice sometimes for spearfishing because of the view).
Best piece of gear bought? gotta be the Elios sub suits or the HDessault carbon fins
Last piece of gear bought? Suunto D3 wrist computer
Next piece of gear to buy? Elios suit in 1.5mm

Best 2: Apeks reg and Cressi BigEyes mask - great field of vis and never a leak!
Least fav: any snorkel
Last bought: Apeks reg
Next 2: Tanks and (egads!) a drysuit. 7mils and wet works, but Graet Lakes wreck diving is pullin at me and dry seems the way to go.

My worst purchase...snorkel (never use it)
My best purchases...Apeks regs w/the long hose primary and bungeed backup config.
and my Halcyon SS backplate w/Pioneer 36# wing
All I need now is a drysuit!

I've only been diving since 9/01 so I don't have much
experience with different pieces of equipment so...
worst- cheap stiff fins I bought starting out,they didn't even
have their name on them.Should have been a clue.
last- Sea Quest Thruster fins. Comfortable but at Superior
last Sat. my brother and another buddy using split fins
had to keep waiting for me.
next- Atomics Aquatics or Scuba Pro Twin Jet fins

Maybe a little late for this reply, but I'm bored too. Fav peice of gear is my SeaQuest Balance BC. Least would be the snorkel (suprise). Regretted purchaces: NONE, except I should have bought a NITROX computer as my first. Now I have two computers. I also have APEX and Atomic regs, which are both very good, but I don't have the confidence that the Atomic Cold-Water kit is as good as the APEX, so I won't use it on deeper dives.
Next purchace(...after selling the Kids): Dry Suit, Pony bottle and Larger tanks.

Worst: Multi-sided wrist slate; the thing falls apart and it's a pain to use the additional sides anyway
Best: Zeagle bp/wings setup
Last Bought: 2x Zeagle Flathead VI Regs
Next: Oceanic Biodry Drysuit and some tanks (E series 130 doubles, stages, and an LP120)
