Ouroboros - deepdarkblue - 02-04-2007

So I hear John Chatterton likes these things ourboros ("boros") CCR.

I've seen 'em, haven't dove with one yet, but I have plans to in do so in June.

I Just wanted to ask around and see what the general public thinks of them.  That'll give us something to talk about

Re: Ouroboros - LKunze - 02-04-2007

One of our members from Wisconsin (divbum) dives an Ouroboros rebreather.

Re: Ouroboros - corndogg2 - 02-05-2007

You should talk to Ron Benson.  He is the area expert on rebreathers and knows everything there is to know. I think he may have written the book on rebreathers or at least read a few of them.

Yes, there is a Boris in MN since spring 2007
Currently there are about 10+ Boris units in North America.
The training is available in FL and in CO.  For those interested and wants
to know more about the Ouroboros
feel free to send PM.
How it dives I would say very.

Re: Ouroboros - dab749 - 11-04-2007

For anyone that might be interested, Divbum is now an Ouroboros instructor and well as a certified technician (the only one in the us I believe).  These are great units and I believe he may be having a training class this spring.

The point is, we now have an Ouroboros instructor in the Great Lakes region, who is also able to provide service for the units.  Hoprefully, in the very near future he will be an instructor for the Sentinel as well.  A big plus for anyone considering this option.
