Ice (12/26 - 27) - arcFlash - 12-18-2009

Proposed ice dive on Green lake or Rush for Dec 26 or 27th pending divers schedules.

I'm good for ether. I have gear but need chainsaw.

Post if you're certified for ice, pick a day, and list gear you have that may be of value.
None divers are welcome.

Count me in as willing to help out where I can.

Not an ice diver (yet) but I play one on TV.  (and I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night... really.)

Anyway, Green Lake by Spicer?  Rush Lake... whereabouts... which one?  I know the one in Ottertail County.

I'm in for that. Either day is fine with me.

Either Green Lake in Isanti County or Rush Lake in Chisago County
Here is a link to the lake map and info site I use to look up different lakes:

See, that's the problem with MN.  Too many lakes, too many repeated names.  How many Long lakes are there? Smile

We've only got 5 lakes here in NE, and that's after a good, hard rain. Smile

Re: Ice (12/26 - 27) - DetectorGuy - 12-18-2009

I can come out either day. Saturday dives work better, because then I have Sunday to unwind, but either one is fine.

I will bring my gear two ropes, 4 beaners, 2 screws, 20" chainsaw, alum shovel, a spud, and probably some licorice. I can't remember... Do I need a snorkel for this? >Big Grin  I do not have an ice tongs or a shelter. I can bring a "Mr.Heater" but If someone has a turkey cooker and a kettle that would be good.

Re: Ice (12/26 - 27) - Shooter - 12-18-2009

we have been looking hard @ knife lake a few miles north of mora for awhile, but the vis has been too poor in the summer. Would that be too far for you guys to drive? We have gathered a little intel on possible dive sites......

I could possibly scout lake ice\road\ visability etc if you guys are okay with the extra drive....

...Anchor Island... ok, Its not too far for me!
