Help replacing seals - TheGuppy - 05-18-2010

I have been shopping for a used dry suit. It seems I can save a TON if I get one that needs a seal or teo replaced. I have also read on SB.com that this is possible (and actually quite easy) for the do it yourselfers. Does anyone on here replace their own dry suit seals? I think I am gonna give t a try but would love some help/mentoring the first time! Just a couple hours till the ebay bidding ends..........

You can find just about anything on Youtube.com. It's likely worth a search.

I would retrofit your used suit with DUIs zip seals. Well worth the investment. If I ever have a seal tear or leak on a dive site, I simply zip in a new oneĀ  8)

Well here is the update. I scored a used dry suit off of Ebay. Looks like dry gloves have already been retrofitted. Not sure what brand. I figure with what I paid for it I even if I have to do all the seals and a zipper I am still way cheaper then a new suit. I will cross my fingers and see when it gets here!
