BVI - freedivernd - 01-19-2012

We have been very pleased with the diving in the BVI.. Never knew it was this good.  Corals have been in very good shape.  Just sayin...

Whats the marine life like in the BVI?

Re: BVI - freedivernd - 01-19-2012

Today at the Indians....  Large bat fish, queen trigger, French angel, 2 large hogfish, a large horse eye jack, small nurse shark, and then tons of the usual reef fish.  All were very camera happy except the nurse shark.. But I have him on video too, he just didn't play for the camera like all the rest.

Yesterday.. Turtles, rays, a Sand shark??, and all the usual..  Just been impressed with the quality.  Sure, fine... My last trip was to St. Lucia, and comparatively, that was hurtin for good snorkeling/divin.

Here's a short underwater video of stuff we saw at the BVI.. 2 1/2 minutes

What were those silver fish at 2min, tarpon?

Re: BVI - freedivernd - 01-28-2012

Tarpon.. We saw those in about 25' of water near a ledge and several days later we got into a school of them in about 2' of water feeding on what looked like our Minnesota minnows.
