Re: New Regulator - mcdiver - 09-07-2012

All I have are Zeagle regs, 6 sets for former students for single tank dives and another Flathead setup that I dove with my doubles. Most regs now are environmentally sealed, thus they have less chance of a free-flow.

So it kind of boils down to what you are willing to spend. As in racing, "How fast you want to go?" "How much money do you have?"

You get what you pay for in a reg.

I like my Sherwood Blizzard.  I have had zero problems with it.  ;D

Ditto on the Bilzzard! I also have a lip shield on it!  I don't know if it makes a difference or if it's just for show.

Re: New Regulator - Chris H - 09-13-2012

I have used Scubapro MK25/G250HP and now G250V regs for the last 9 years.  I have four now and they have never given me problems and I've had them on some fairly deep dives including on the Gunilda.  My buddies have done the same dives with Apex and haven't had issues with them either.  My rebreather has Apex first stages so I guess I dive them too.  As mentioned previously, don't buy something you'll need to buy again.  Buy good stuff.
