Niagra Wreck by Knife Island, MN - eddy - 09-17-2013

Has anyone dove the Niagra recently who has any info about entry points, can it be done from shore, etc.?

I've dove the Niagara a few times, she's pretty much centered on the open lake side of Knife Is. (the main hull anyway) in 30 to 90'. From the beach that's going to make it a HAUL in the water. Cant recommend it as a shore dive unless your more of a distance swimmer and the lake was nice and calm. We dove it both from a Zodiac and the Impulse launched from Knife Is. Marina. The beach straight west of the Island use to be public, not sure anymore, but be careful driving on it close to shore the beach rock is much more unstable then it looks, and when we got towed out Sad the tow truck driver said no one gets off this beach on their own.
