<font size="5">This was our dive shop in the late 1950's to the early 1960's

This is a photo on some divers with port holes from the Madeira ship wreck about 1956. Gold rock is in the back ground. We stayed at Johnson's cabin on Lake Superior. My dad Robert Travis Keagle and some other guys were the first divers to dive on the Madeira in 1955.

Great photos. For some reason, those ice pics looks exceptionally cold!

interesting and curious, what is the suit with fabric bunched up in front chest. and how was this assembled to be worn? is it just tape?

Those are the early drysuit. Notice there is no inflator to get rid of the squezze. The thing in the front is how they got in and out.

those rubber suits are still popular.... just no longer in the diving community. Big Grin

Ice diving middle 1950's in Minnesota.

Christmas lake in the early 1960's My dad made these markers for the divers. The lake was crystal clear at that time.--They also sank this old wood boat for divers to dive on----
