Re: Crosby Monday AM
Hey Linda.  We were just up there Friday through today.  The conditions are pretty decent.  We dove Mahnomen 1, Mahnomen 2, Louise, Mangan, Alstead and Joan.  We saw some huge northerns in Joan and Alstead.  Viz was sorta similar in all of them in that it was good down to 30 feet and then between 30 and 50 feet it was pretty hazy but then opened up again in the 60 to 100 foot depth range.

Re: Crosby Monday AM
I've heard it is 200+.  There is a black layer at 70ft, so it gets pretty dark after that.

Which Access did you use in Joan?

Re: Crosby Monday AM
We dove the Gruntenheave Access.  It had a pretty cool wall, the vis was a little murky at depth.  It had a lot of fish and much better vis in the shallows.

I dont know the names of the access's or dive sites. Is gruntmheave the goat path down the side or the muddy access right of the main road you can walk in. The gruntnheave as I know it you can drive to.  The take the steep path down to the water.

I had heard that those roads had been closed off.

They put a birm up to block the Bootsucker acces, the on of the main road on the south part of the lake, you are still able to access the northern access, Safecracker and Gruntenheave- the goat path is not that bad of a hill.
