Nice haul!  ;D  It always makes for a better dive when you find stuff  8). Sounds like water patrol "rolled" up on cheech and chong  ;D. I've been on boats with weighted baggies before :-X :o ;D. They had filets and tails in them though! Speaking of the "man", illegal activities, and jail time, I forget to tell you John and I were boarded by the Bahamian Defense Force! Pretty scary! Had a flashback to your comment of the Bahamian jails  ;D ;D

Does anyone(on the forum) have a portable scuba directional finder? I would like to test one under the ice for an upcoming ice dive.

I have a portable scuba directional finder. I use it on every dive and I love it. It is kinda wierd how it works as it doesn't use batteries. It needs a little thinking on the divers part to make it work correctly, but it is very durable. The one I have is not exactly like the one you posted a link to, but the one I have is quite a bit cheaper. I think I only paid $53 for it a few years ago. Of course the one I am talking about is a Suunto Compass... Sorry to mislead you, but it was fun for me ;D ;D ;D

The problem with diving when its below 10 degrees is getting into the water before your stuff freezes.... and getting your drysuit off after its frozen on  Tongue

my ice house is a single sized for 2 anglers. dont have the double sized one. we can take it if no one else has one. i also have a larger camping house but it has screened sides. might be able to throw a tarp over it.

the directional finder would be nice to follow the divers from the surface...Smile

My install didn't go as planned. I will be out there all day today and probably Sat too. Maybe next weekend. Have you guys thought about Mille Lacs?
