Hey Trinity,

Looks like you finally put my Jonsered to shame. I only have a 38" bar with 2.5HP. You finally have something powerful between the legs.

You the Man.

Hey Buddy,

Working hard at John Deere on this Saturday morning. Wish I were out jumping with you guys.

Sounds like your icing is coming to an end soon. Temps here have been in the low 80's already, nights dip into the middle 50's.

more pics.very unique. vis varied from one side of the lake to the other. still lots of discusion about what is vis. we had lights on the rope, one diver could see the last light at 100ft behind. it would make a string of lights pointing way back to the hole. the large lights drew in loads of tiny 1/2 baby sunfish and clouds of daphnia plankton. larger sunfish and crappie every were.the first side vis was low!

Re: TRINITY'S 3rd annual 2012/2013 icing challenge
Waconia was a good time yesterday, still had 22" of clear, with 3-5" of frost ice on top. Vis was dandy for an overcast day, during the day to the point where the snowdrifts on the surface darkened up the water coulomb, like swimming up to a shipwreck on Superior. Then tried to climb a steep tree and brush covered bank on Coney Is. as a test of (me  :-\) and the demo Viking suit I had on, suit did good. Then moved to the center lake to do some night icing. Ran a 2KW and 5KW genset to power lighting, consisting of a pair of 400watt lowbay metal-arcs, and a pair of 400watt construction lights and a 1000watt halogen light stand. The lowbay fixtures directed all the light down thru the ice above the weeds and sure brought out the fish. Had the younger crew build a fire with papers and some white oak (slightly too long for my fireplace), to stay occupied and warm,,, that worked good for both.
The first anchor I ever found was on Waconia in Sept. of 1980 it was a red plastic 15# bell with the weight (all in the center shaft), with its snapped poly line sticking 3-4' out of the muck. I had it with the day the fisherman snagged me icing Waconia a couple years ago, as seed in the 1st icing challenge. It was cool to find the identical yellow anchor sitting upright on the sand bottom icing Waconia last night.

Re: TRINITY'S 3rd annual 2012/2013 icing challenge
it seems the group is refining self sufficient diving techniques. in particular im seeing refinements in a technique for the diver in the water to pull himself out without assistance. both doning and doffing of all gear without help, and the technique of turning on and off the tank while sitting on your back. its goten to the point were it seems we are approaching a specific "proper" order of which piece goes on and off.
