I hear what yer saying and it sounds right. Â These photos were taken in June and July in Caribou Lake. Â I have however seen this same growth at many cold deep lakes, Bad Medicine, Cruiser, etc. Â I've never seen it above a thermocline. Â It usually does not start until at least thirty feet or so. Â I have also noticed this same stuff in most of the pit lakes. Â I'm sure that I've seen it from spring through the fall. Â The photo taken below I took in August up at one of the pit lakes around crosby. Â
