dressing for tech diving? (was in What the Heck is DIR?)

I am not out to set the world on fire with DIR, just elminate the misinformtaion that is out there, like it's a religion, and explain why it works so well for the people I dive with. There are even some local divers who say they are DIR, but don't have the goods to back it up. I think that this does the DIR crowd a huge disservice sine we get lumped in with them.

So, how do I spot a "real" DIR diver from one who simply self-identifies as DIR?
