Nitrox tester
My Handi is at the end of it's time. Anyone have any specific good reports on any other affordable nitrox tester for in the field ? (Eventhough I test at the dive shop, I still like to doulble check before my actual dive...)
Thanx |

Re:Nitrox tester
The Oxycheq one is pretty good. I don't have one personally but I've used one several times at a couple different shops.

Re:Nitrox tester
I had an Oxycheq as well, the unit worked well, my only complaint was that I needed to replace the cell about every 6-9 months, I think they were about $70 a pop.

Re:Nitrox tester
Thanks, I didn't know the sensor went so fast. Perhaps another Handi is in the making. They are not that bad price wise, small and very portable and my last one lasted just about 3yrs. I'd seal it in a plastic bag after use.
Thanks for your thoughts... |

Re:Nitrox tester
I'm currently using one of the Oxycheq "build it yourself" models. It lacks some features I would like, but you can't beat these for the price. It's been about a year and a half and the sensor is still going strong.
