Re:heart rate monitors and diving
I tried mine out last night and it worked fine. 8)

I only got to 40', becasue that's where the bottom of the lake was Wink, but it could read through my wetsuit without a problem. I even used it while riding my scooter and the engine didn't interfere with the transmitter at all.

It should be fun to try it in a deeper lake when I get the chance.

BTW: I wasn't 'packing' so don't know if that really causes a probelm or not. I would think that since I am under pressure from the water it wouldn't have an effect.

Haven't tried mine yet (forgot it last dive at Wazee), but will give her a shot soon as I am taking AOW and Nitrox this month. Thanks again for all the replies!

Re:heart rate monitors and diving
I got to try mine out last night to a max depth of 71'- which is where the bottom of the lake was by the wreck we were diving on.

It worked out just fine both on the surface and at max depth. I imagine tat it would work out just as well at the 30 meter limit stamped on the case.
