Wazee Scavenger Hunt Sept 18 & 19

Looking for an excuse to dive? Join us this weekend, Sept 18th & 19th at Wazee for a relaxing 2 days of "scavenger hunt" diving. We'll set up underwater clues to lead you to your prize. If you choose to take part in the festivities, you're guaranteed to walk away with something in your pocket!

We'll meet at the campground at 10am on Saturday and Sunday; join us Friday evening for a bonfire if you're looking to start the weekend early.

Weather permitting, we'll play paint ball on Saturday evening. See Richard at the campgrounds for equipment.

Where do you play paintball? Do they allow it in the park or do you go elsewhere?

I don't believe they allow it in the park, so we go to an off-site location, about a 15 minute drive from the campground.

Hey, isn't Wazee sports having their clean up dive on Sept 18th? I think it is free to dive if you are part of the cleanup?



I remember hearing about over zealous clean up divers from past events... Hopefully they won't clean up the clues :

I'm glad you mentioned that, I wasn't sure if they were having the clean up or not, and I couldn't get any info from the shop.

Well, we can forget about the scavenger hunt and help them with the clean up, or continue w/ the scavenger hunt. What does everyone think?

Search for garbage in a lake already scoured clean or scavenger hunt? I think I would rather scavenger hunt Wazee, I don’t want to repeat the Minnetonka clean up dive, my tank and my garbage bag came up empty on that dive.

I think we decided on a scavanger hunt. We came with the same thoughts you did...(except for fishing line , Wazee isn't all that dirty etc...). So lets prepare to scavage...
Maybe we could search for the paintball guns...!!! ;D

I just talked to Wazee Sports and they're expecting a large turn-out for the clean-up dive plus they're running some classes. I think we're better off post-poning the scavenger hunt and either assist w/ the clean-up or do our own fun diving.

We will also attempt our first movie night at the campground on Saturday evening!
