Re: Lake Mine
Got in a couple dives at Lake Mine this weekend.  Viz was good as usual.  Here is a pic at the "buildings" dive site out from the pillar and also the old car.  Also, as an fyi there is now a buoy out from the pillar that drops right down to the buildings at about 50 feet.  The only bad part is that it's approximately a "Madeira" length surface swim out to the buoy.  The road getting back to the second access is in good shape and is not rough or muddy at all.  You could get any car back there without any problems.

Re: Lake Mine
Looks like someone had problems getting back there.  Big Grin  What depth is that car at?    and What part of the lake?  That stuff looks pretty cool.

Re: Lake Mine
The car is very shallow, probably only 10 feet...that's why the picture is so clear.  I'd say maybe half way between the pillar and the dive access, not the boat launch access but the other access to the right of the boat launch closer to Giants Ridge.

Re: Lake Mine
I'd say the vis was a good 30ft at Lake Mine on Saturday.

Re: Lake Mine
Dan G and I did a dive at Lake Mine today at the buildings site.  The buoy was still in place at the buildings site which was nice.  Viz was pretty good...I'd say up to 30 feet.  Pretty similar conditions as when I was up there in June.  We happened to notice some signs at the entrance advertising lake home property for sale.  I hope that doesn't mean they are planning a big housing development there because that will likely ruin the lake for diving. ???

Re: Lake Mine
We did 2 dives at Lake Mine today. Vis was 30ft or better in some spots.  the group dove the buildings the first dive,  and the shore line the 2nd.  Vis improved at depth.
