Indoor diving possibilities?
My husband and I recently purchased new dive gear and would like to know if there is a pool somewhere in the north/northwest metro where can we go to familiarize ourselves with this new equipment. We're certainly not equiped for 'ice diving' yet! Any suggestions?

Smith Diving uses a YMCA pool in Fridley. Call them (or another dive shop) and they will probably be able to set you up for little or nothing.

You might also try Going Under Diver Center (GUDC) just outside of Osseo on County 81.
They have their own pool onsite...

Thanks...Jean ;D

I had the same problem last year. I checked with Smith Diving and they suggested the buoyancy class. It cost me $75 for the class but it was nice to not only get in the pool with my new gear but to also learn something in the process.

If you find any place that will let you use the pool for free let everyone know. I know we are all either looking to purchase or have purchased new equiptment we want to try out.
