Re: can't afford gasoline
And of course, there's still that 15% that is gasoline in the E-85 fuel.  I'm due for a refueling and I'd better get a lottery ticket so I can buy more fuel next week!

Re: can't afford gasoline
Come to think of it, I don't recall what mpg my Kawasaki got.  But the tank held a little over 2 gallons, and I'd get about 120 miles or so before filling up.  Now we have a Honda 500 Silverwing...Beautiful bike with it's new paintjob!  If the price of gas keeps on going up, I may be riding it to work all summer long!

Re: Ethanol and Moses
I wrote it at work yesterday:  We were discussing ethanol prices,  as the utility I work for serves a large ethanol plant,  and the news had reported record profits for ethanol.  A 22 cent/gallon tax exemption runs out may 1, IIRC.  That plant had been shut down for months at a time more than once,  waiting for tax exemptions to make it profitable..
Ethanol isn't perfect,  as it does produce some polution at the point of manufacture,  but better in the middle of nowhere  ( north central ND )  than concetrated in any town.

On a lighter note;  Moses led the chosen people through the desert for 40 years..

and stopped in the only place in the middle east that wasn't floating on oil!
