14th annual pumpkin carving contest

Some of you have had a chance to practice already.  Here's another chance to show off your carving skills.  All participants will recieve the original Smith Diving Pumpkin Carving T-Shirt.  There will of course be prizes, but the greatest reward is the coveted pumpkin-head trophy.  Trophies are given out for 1st and 2nd place in 2 catagories, (decorated and undecorated pumpkins).  Divers enter the water at 11:00am on Saturday October 29th and must be out of the water by noon.  The dive takes place at the north beach at Lake Harriet.  Check out the Pumpkin Carving page at   Registration is required for this event.  SYATL.

Sorry about the late notice but we've had to change the time of the pumpkin carving from 11:00am to noon for Saturday.  The Mpls Parks dept. called yesterday and informed us that the parkway around Lake Harriet will be closed for a race on Saturday morning until 11:00.  Thanks, SYATL
