Dive sites on Western MN
Looking for dive sites in western MN close to Fargo or Grand Forks ND. I âm originally from Grand Forks so it would be nice to dive when I make the drive home. Maybe Freediver could give some help with this one. Anyone dive Detroit Lakes my brother-in law has a house on the lake. Thanks for your help

Welcome to the board. Lot's of good diving lakes within 40 miles east of Fargo, but Detroit Lakes isn't one of them. Right near there though is Big Comorant to the west, Lake Six and Seven to the southeast, and Paul and Little McDonald a little farther to the south are the best. Barring any turn over these lakes are usually very good for diving. A lot of lakes in the area have pretty good vis. For equipment Tri-State Diving is located on Little Floyd (about 3 miles north of Detroit Lakes). If you're looking to buddy up when you're in the area let me know, I have been known to scuba on occassion. Or maybe you're talking freediving - I'd be MORE than happy to buddy up for that! Fred
