WI Shipwreck mapping project
My father sent me an interesting website that details a recent shipwreck mapping project in Lake Michigan. I dove one of these wrecks (Fleetwing) this Summer in Door County. You will enjoy this site if you like shipwrecks:

Nice site Jason - great pictures - some of those shallower wrecks would be fine for a snorkeler as myself. Someday when I plan a trip over there I'll use some of the info from that site. Hope to visit the great lakes sometime. when though? that's the question.

Fred, many of my shore dives in Door County were in less than 20 ffw -- plus the water temp was in the 60's. These sites are great for snorkeling and new divers.

How far is Door County from Minneapolis?

You can reach Sturgeon Bay, at the "entrance" to Door County in around 5.5 hours. Gills Rock, at the top of the peninsula is about an hour from Sturgeon Bay.

Did you dive with a dive shop or boat charter down in Door County?
