NAUI Ice Diver Certification
The 2007 NAUI Ice Diver Course will Take place on; Jan 16, 18 (class & pool) 20 & 21, and 27 & 28 for the 4 required dives. We will be visiting a variety of dive sites in and around the metro area for the class and we usually make the first weekend of March a ice get-away on Lake Mille Lacs. The NAUI Ice course requires advanced certification and minimum age of 18. Bill King will once again be teaching this class. Just a note to those of you on the edge about the Ice Diver class. Our current conditions (no snow and cold temps) will likely make for the best ice season in at least a decade. There is nothing cooler than gliding along at the end of a line under a crystal clear window of ice. You think scuba diving is peaceful? You really need to try it under the ice. So ask Santa for just a little snow (it makes it easier to walk on the ice), light winds and cool temps to give us a glass clear surface.
