Re:YES!!!
Congradulations: We deal with the local dive teams up here There are a few good ones, but most of them have a lot to be desired. To many chiefs, everyone wants to be the leader. They showed up one time on an airplane crash and they forgot to fill their tanks, good thing we had extras with us to loan them.
If you are real serious about this I would recomend you look at getting certified in Public Safety Diving a real intense course but well worth it.

Re:YES!!!
I'm still a fairly new diver but thought I would ask. What kind of training or skill level do they look for? Also I assume it's a volunteer situation?

Just Curious. Thanks

Re:YES!!!
Well, I'm only up to Advanced Open Water and been diving since May of this year... They do training "in-house" through a variety of methods, and yes it's all volunteer.

Re:YES!!!
Chris. have you been doing any training with the Search and
Rescue since Nov.
I got on the Blue Earth Co Dive Team myself last summer.
A couple of us are getting dry suit and ice certified
Jan. 25 & 26. Am looking forward to it but just a pinch nervous too.
By the way, I haven't noticed MDC Sports in the dive shop area.
