Camera setups
I know the answer to this varries from $50 - $50,000, but I will ask anyway.

How much of an investiment is required for camera setups?

I am guessing aroung $500 would allow for a fairly reasonable setup.

What componets would you say are most important. (Example You will want to spend $2000 on a camera XXX eventually. But if you buy a $200 stobe now, it will improve your pictures with cheaper camera along with the future camera you will want to get.)

Re:Camera setups
I use an Ikelite-Auto/35 with strobe. It ran around $400 for the whole spiel. I really would like to move into digital some day , but for now , this is great !!! It takes wonderful pictures for a "point and shoot" camera and strobe.
The problem I have is that I want to get the pictures on the 'Net and I go to a photographer that scans right from the roll onto CD (and prints). But the cost is a little spendy, so digital is definately down the road somewhere...

So: for around $400 dollars I get really good (depending on how good the photographer is that day Wink) U/W pictures. And even around the 100' mark. It was a good serious "starter" system for me. For for others , it might be "too lame".

You can get just the camera w/o the strobe for around $150 dollars.

Thanks...Jean
