Did anyone notice Underwater Schools is having store liquidation sale?
It's a sad day for the local diving community.  I just learned that Underwater Schools of America in Long Lake is having a store liquidation sale today and tomorrow.  They have been part of the local dive community for over 36 years.
Now there is one less store to fill your tanks, teach people how to dive, or take people diving!
It is truley a sad day for the local dive community.

I thought that I saw something on Craigslist about that.  Is that where you saw it?

Yes that's where I saw it.  It's really a shame to loose a shop that's been around 36 years.

I took my initial O/W class and Advanced class from them at their Maplewood Store in 1985. I also bought my first set of SCUBA gear from them. Best of luck to Jack and Deb!

My understanding is that they have been "For Sale" for a number of years. I purchase my first set of dive gear from them back in the 90's, always enjoyed stopping and visiting when I passed through the area.

I don't think that relocating hwy 12 has help ether. I have used that shop for many years and now I have to figure out where to get all the scuba-pro stuff fixed. I feel very sorry for jack and deb, they have been my friends since the very early 80.

Thanks to Underwater Schools and Northland divers
Hi,
I started teaching for PadI nin  1971 and became a Master Instructor in 1973,
  #1279.

In 1976 joined the club scuba staff and have taught with them up to last week.

Jack and Deb,Jose and Tom Suerth, and Kurt Wall are truly some of the finest
  pro's inthe dive industry.

Myron the owner of Northland divers has graciously allowed me to transfer
my SSI instructor affiliation to his store.

Please think of Northland divers for future training needs and equipment,I've know Myron for the last 28 years also.

          Thanks,Jerry Lang SSI 5927  >Big Grin
