Spammers
The site is being hit by some spammers today. I will review our registration process and see if we need to change something to stop these fake registrations. I appreciate your patience.

I noticed that a new version of our SMF forum software (1.1.7) was released on Nov 7. This release fixes several security bugs. It is possible that recent spammers were taking advantage of these bugs to post messages on the forum. I just updated the forum software so hopefully the spam messages will stop.

Well the spammers are still getting through after the update. I increased the level of our new member registration CAPTCHA to the highest level. This may prevent the automated spammers from registering. It is possible that these registrations are being created by actual humans. Spam gangs in 3rd world countries farm out this type of grunt work to cheap labor. I have some additional tricks we can try if this higher level of CAPTCHA protection doesn't help.
