Redundant air source, pony bottle, stage bottle poll

Umm, an H-valve is not a redundant air source and doubles must have an isolation valve to be considered redundant.

That said, I sling a 30cf.

I realize that, but I know some people would have it as an option. I have never seen doubles without an isolation valve. My choice as well

It depends on the dive. 

If in an iron mine or in a Great Lakes shipwreck, or if in a big cave as part of a team; just a set of banded double tanks, steel PST LP 104s, with isolator. 

If in a big cave solo, banded double tanks, steel PST LP 104s, with isolator, along with an aluminum Luxfer 80 buddy bottle.

If in a low cave, sidemount double tanks, steel Faber LP 108s.

If in a very low cave, double aluminum Luxfer 80s, no mounted and secured together with extra large cam bands, pushing the tanks in front of me (Catalina aluminum 80s would probably work better, but I don’t own any of them). 

And that’s just for redundancy.  For deco, I usually add an aluminum Luxfer 40 with O2.  If I’m doing a long dive, I’ll add an aluminum Luxfer 80 stage bottle.  If I’m doing a really deep dive, I’ll add an additional aluminum Luxfer 40 with 50% nitrox, plus an aluminum 6 with argon (for when I’m diving a helium mix). - Kirk

Understood Shooter - Just want to ensure the people on this board that take posts as "the gospel" (as there seem to be a few out there) are not mis-informed.  H-valves are no different than any valve, when the tank O-ring goes. (I know you are aware).  However, an H-valve is a good option dealing with first / second stage failures.
