V-Planner IBCD
I've been running some dive profiles in V-Planner lately in an attempt to stay connected with SCUBA during the MN winter, and am experiencing a problem.
All dives nearing and exceeding the 400 ft mark are warning me of isobaric counter-diffusion issues secondary to PPN2 spikes. Just to clarify, I'm not planning a 400 footer anytime soon, but there has to be a way to do it without carrying 5 different deco mixes....or buying a rebreather. I've heard that this is an issue when the BG has a high He content (50-60%). The only way I can avoid the IBCD warnings is to drop the He content by 10% or so in each deco mix. This adds up to about 5 or 6 different deco mixes. Is this right? or is V-Planner just being super conservative? |
