1000 dives vs. 30 years

                  Hello Everyone!
As I close in on my 1000th dive I wanted to thank my friends here, a delightful group,,,,, Steve, Joe, Robert, Dave, Doug, Michelle, Carl, Angie, Bob, John, Mark, Lisa x 2, Christie, Matt, Mike,(thanks for the ice cert!) you have all made me smile. I am now at dive # 986, (thats 646 hours and 22 mins underwater after being certified by Jack Gadbois on July 4, 1980,),,,,,, scarry early Wed. morning I run off to Utila for a couple weeks, with a stop in So. Fla on both ends, so likely (if I had to guess) to do the 1000th on the Spiegel Grove on the return trip, that I have dove many times and cannot think of a better way to celebrate 30 years underwater. I did hit 15 dives under the ice this winter, mostly with my friends Steve, Joe and Dave. I would also like to thank my dive buddies that have helped me get to near 1000 dives over the past 30 years,,,,,, Sharie Larson (x 200 dives), Susan Daust (x 200 dives), Barb Ramacher, Lynn Loynachan, Steve Porter, Hoa Vue, Keith Anderson, Lisa Mongelia, Brad Graskie, Monty Tousignant, the late Jerry Provost, Christine Spangler, Renee Anderson, Marsha Millonig, Scott Reese, Lisa Howd, Jan Hamill, and many others,,,some of these fine people I have lost contact with, but with all I hope my path will cross again. One of my most prized treasures is the pics of have of these times blown up in the 11x14 frames on the walls of my home, and the 5- 3"- 3 ring books my logs are kept in. Diving is the ONLY thing in my life I regret not having started sooner. THANK YOU MY FRIENDS!              TRINITY
Open season on the open seas,,,,We ani't stealing were just taking back,,,,call it pilage or call it plunder, were taken back from the boys down under,,,,,,,Jimmy Buffet         952-201-3029  (cell)

Have a GREAT trip, an UNFORGETABLE 1000th dive (no matter where you dive it), and a SAFE return Terry.

Have a good trip!

If there is some weird 1000th dive ritual that is 10X more "adventurous" than the supposed tradition of the 100th dive - no picture, ok!

Hhhmmm, hitting 1000 ft on the 1000th dive...just how much deco time would that require anyway...could take you right up to your 30th year  Wink

Hi T,

You might just hit 1k with whale sharks in Utilia!  Then top off the trip with a drop on the Grove . . . . now that would be a nice touch . . . will be a great adventure any way you look at it.

Happy Diving,
Lisa M :-)
