Actually yes.  Big Grin
Very cool your getting your AOW. Smile
I have never been to Crosby, so I will need some guidance on what to bring,(tent, sleeping bag, etc.) pay for, eat ... and whatnot.
I did my AOW at Wazzee and I had to camp out at Scuba Dive and Travel's camp site.
Just will have to line up a dog sitter.

K - here is the plan:

Joel is gonna head up to Crosby Saturday afternoon and scope out a good spot. Anyone wanna get out there and do a dive with him?

I get off work at 6p Saturday and will be heading up shortly after that. Plan to be at Crosby by about 8 pm.

Hang, chat, have a few beers then I have my AOW deep dive at 9 am Sunday.

After that - maybe we do another couple dives then hang, BBQ etc

Staying Sunday night then maybe another dive Monday before heading home.

Never been there before so any info anyone can give us for camping etc would be VERY much appreciated

PS - Dogs allowed? Joel - bring your puppy!!!

Take a bunch of plastic liners for the floor of Kevin's truck.  I don't think he would be happy with you if you get quarry clay on it.  That stuff permanently turns everything it touches orange.

I'm not sure what the temps are now, but when we were up there last year, it was in the very low 40s at depth.

Can you have him teach you drysuit first?????

Gonna haul the trailer with us so that should cover the mud

Also going to get my suit and reg set up this week and hopefully dive with it a couple times to have it ready for Crosby

Angie,

I would still put some type of floor liner in the cab.  You will be getting the iron ore/ clay on your shoes.  This is not easy to get out once in your vehicle(speaking from experience).

I now have rubber floor mats in the truck that collect it all, and they have raised edges all around in case it gets really wet.

I was talking about feet too.  Kevin's truck was almost OCD clean every time I saw it.  That clay gets on everything and I'm not kidding about the orange forever.  It even stained my wetsuit.  How that happens, I have no idea.

What do you have to do for your reg?  Are you just talking about the inflator hose?  You should learn to do that yourself.  The low pressure port likely has a plug on it that should come off with an alan wrench.  Find one preferably on the left side.  Then just screw in the hose.  Finger tight and then just snug it with a wrench.  It just needs to be tight enough to stay on.  There is no need to really wrench on it.  The o-ring does the sealing.
