Lionfish Derbie's in Florida
A friend of mine in Florida was telling me about the battles they are waging on Lionfish.  They offer up a fair amount of coin the winners.

Re: Lionfish Derbie's in Florida
Ive never heard of the derbys, but I was on a liveaboard in the Bahamas last April and when we were out side the marine park the boat captain speared as many as he could and we ate them for dinner. I didn't know you could eat these things. It might be a way to limit their population if people used it as a food source. They do breed fast, in Cozumel two years ago you didn't see them at all, last year they were every where!!

I think I'll try to make one of those.  I'll be working in Florida by then.
